Point Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or any MCP-aware client at Muxit and your AI client gets the same tool surface the built-in chat uses: list connectors, read sensors, call actions, take camera snapshots, run and write scripts, write connector configs. Local LLMs via Ollama and LM Studio are also free on every tier. Your provider, your API key (or local), no Muxit credits.

Premium frontier models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, and more) without managing API keys, billing, or rate limits yourself. We pick the right model for the task; you can also pin a preferred model per connector or script. Powers Muxit-managed chat, voice, image analysis, AI-assisted connector authoring, and ai() calls when configured for Muxit-managed (not MCP/local).
Credits reset monthly on your billing date. Included credits don't roll over. Top-ups are valid for 12 months:

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Muxit without an internet connection?
Yes. The Muxit server runs entirely on your machine. Only Muxit-managed AI features require internet.
MCP with your own API key keeps AI usage on your chosen provider, not on ours; Ollama and LM Studio run fully offline.
What happens to my data?
Your scripts, connectors, dashboards, and device communication stay on your machine.
Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly enable AI features, and even then only the prompts and tool calls
relevant to that AI call leave your network.
Does Muxit have user accounts?
Not today. Muxit currently runs as a single-installation tool — one license per machine.
Multiple people can use the same installation (e.g., shared lab PC), but Muxit doesn't track per-user identity.
The audit log records actions per machine with source attribution (script name, AI agent, dashboard widget)
but not per-user. If your compliance setup requires per-user attribution, get in touch — it's on the roadmap.
Can my team share a workspace?
Yes — point your workspace/ directory at a shared drive (Dropbox, OneDrive, NAS) and multiple
installations can read the same connectors, scripts, and dashboards. Each installation still needs its own license.
Do unused AI credits roll over?
No — included monthly credits reset at the start of each billing period.
Top-up credits you purchase separately are valid for 12 months.
What if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your billing period. Local installations drop to Free-tier features; scripts and dashboards stay.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Changes are prorated through Polar.
Running Muxit on multiple lab PCs?
Lab licenses are one installation each. For organizations with several lab PCs, get in touch and we'll work out a multi-installation arrangement.
